He got a stern talking to when they found out.Choosing Beggar ( CB ) Person ( M ) CB: Can I get your cool art? M: Sure which package CB: Ummm, I would like premium! M: Sure that would be 152 dollars! CB: How about 10 dollars? M: No, this art isn't free Ma'am this is the premium package. There was also a guy getting bikes from them and straight selling them to other homeless people. One guy was stopping by nearly daily to get multiple bags, they told him they couldn't be doing that anymore because we put a good amount of time and manpower into putting the meal bags together, he'd need to go to other places that has breakfast, lunch, and dinner, there were a good number of places to pick from. We also had meal bags, but they 100% knew when to cut someone off. They drove around with items to give to homeless people and the simple gloves, hats, and socks were the most grabbed. I interned at a housing aid charity in the big nearby city. People who are genuinely in need are thankful for anything they're given. They're betting on the person not wanting to seem rude by withdrawing the offer to pay. This here is the line, once they've got someone hooked they start grabbing for more. My friend later told me that she had taken the children from their father who had full custody of their children because of similar problems. This was after they found several items that she tried to steal after she realized that I wasn't going to pay for their stuff. On my way out she was cursing at the police officers about harassment and that they didn't have any right to arrest her. I also told her that since she claimed to be homeless that social services would be able to place the children in a home and provide them with food since they clearly were in need. When their mother asked me why I called them? I simply responded with "You asked me for help, but you never asked me in what form of help." Which they immediately started doing the same thing that they did, however what I did was to call a friend who works for social services to come meet me there.Īfter they manage to get the cart completely full of food, clothes and even electronics my friend as well as two officers come walking in.Īpparently they have been banned from other Walmart's as well as all others in the state. Which I responded with yeah I would be glad to help. I've seen people like that with my own eyes. The person begging must be at least in the gradient of being an entitled jerk, this sub is not a place to mock povertyīe sure to check out our new sub for ChoosingBeggars memes and other stuff: /r/IndecentExposure If that person is offered a Nintendo and they scoff at the suggestion, then that would be a good post. That's someone begging, but without a sense of entitlement. If that same person turns down someone offering to give them a ride to work because they don't want to be seen in a PT Cruiser, then that post would fit.Ī parent asking for handouts because their kids want an Xbox for Christmas and the only way that could happen is if someone donates one, that isn't a choosingbeggar. They got the beggar part down, but this sub is not /r/beggars so that post wouldn't fit. If someone ran out of money and needs gas money to get to work and the only thing they can think of is to make a status update on Facebook asking if anyone can spare them some money, they aren't really being choosy. Ugly people are allowed to want a partner with a job, or no kids, or anything else we would consider reasonable for the beautiful people.Ī person asking for help with life's necessities out of desperation is not a choosingbeggar Unattractive people seeking a normal relationship and having reasonable standards is not a good fit for this sub. "Found on Facebook", "This belongs here", "Saw this on snapchat", "□□" etc are hard to find later, give at least a little bit for us to go on, thanks.
